(eds), Reading around the Epic (1998); and ‘Layer upon layer: the evolution of cassock, gown, habit and hood as academic dress’, in Transactions of the Burgon Society 5 (2005).

Research and teaching interests include medieval French language and literature, medieval literature more generally, the history of academic dress, and effective technical communication strategies.
