Professor Paul Monod

Paul Monod has taught at Middlebury College since 1984, and has been Principal of the Middlebury-CMRS Oxford Humanities Program since 2014.  He grew up in Montreal and was educated at Princeton and Yale Universities.  His area of specialization is 17th -18th century Britain, and in 2013 he published Solomon's Secret Arts: The Occult in the Age of Enlightenment with Yale University Press.  Professor Monod has been the recipient of fellowships from the NEH, the Huntington Library, the Getty Research Institute and the Leverhulme Trust.
